Do I need a computer science degree to have a successful career in Linux? [closed]

I recently got a bachelor’s in hospitality management, for 4 years I basically lied to myself thinking thats what I want to study while neglecting my interest in computer science. I’ve been getting to know Linux for a few months and I’ve grown to love the OS and its philosophy and I feel that working with Linux is something I could see myself doing.

However, most, if not all the job listings I’ve seen require that the applicant have a degree in IT, computer science or electrical engineering. I do not have the time and money to reinvest in a college education so how can I make myself marketable in the industry? Is experience in a computer-related field really necessary to finding a decent entry-level position?
